Plant Experiments

Have you every wondered if fertilizer actually makes a plant grow better? or
If we watered a plant with Mountain Dew would it still be able to germinate?
What soil is best for growing seeds in?
Do seeds need light to germinate?
When a light source is only coming from one direction, how long will it take a plant to bend toward that source?
Does it matter which way a seed is tilted; will roots still grow down and shoots still grow up?
Can you remove chlorophyll from a plant?
We are finding this out through a number of plant experiments.
Tell me about what you have observed happening in the room or what predictions you have about any of the questions?

I think it is better than the previous notes that we used to do. It is not as boring and you get to do it with other students and not by yourself. Maybe next time we can try picking our own partners.

Group work is a lot better than taking notes. I think we should do it a lot more but not all the time and may be take notes. If it works out and we get a lot of information we should keep doing it but if we don't we should take notes once in a while. I would like to every once in a while may be pick our partners. Don't change what you are doing it is a great way of learning our information. Keep up the GREAT teaching. YOU ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I liked doing the group work. But I think we need to get more information and go into the information a little bit more. We should go into the information more because it felt like we didn't know as much as we do when we take notes. We should also go more into it because we didn't do as well as we did as far as grades on the previous tests. We should do it more but go into more info. and then it would be more greater than it already is. It is an AWSOME way to teach. Keep thinking about new ideas they will always be great cuz you are a GREAT and CREATIVE teacher.
